Job description

Their primary responsibility is to ensure that IT service-related projects, ranging from system upgrades and software deployments to integration and support rollouts, are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

This role focuses heavily on the planning, execution, and delivery of IT services, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and internal capabilities. The IT Service Project Manager often oversees cross-functional teams and is responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to service transition and post-deployment support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presale support: Actively participate in the pre-sales and proposal phase by providing expert insight on project planning, delivery strategies, and service design.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Define and manage detailed project plans covering service requirements, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main liaison between clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure expectations are clearly defined and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Service Oriented Delivery: Ensure projects meet agreed service levels, security policies, and technical standards, particularly in environments such as government or regulated sectors.
  • Team Coordination: Assign tasks to project team members based on technical skillsets and capacity, and provide ongoing oversight to drive quality and performance..
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and action plans.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Act as the main point of contact for key client stakeholders. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships that support project execution and open the door for future collaboration.
  • Project Ownership:
    Lead the full lifecycle of IT service delivery projects from planning and design to execution and closure. Ensure deliverables meet scope, time, and quality expectations while maintaining full budgetary control.
  • Prime & Subcontractor Management:
    Coordinate contributions from both prime and subcontracting partners, ensuring contract terms are upheld and workstreams are integrated seamlessly.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    Track project progress using defined KPIs and regularly report status updates to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders. Address deviations and proactively resolve risks and issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Capture lessons learned and feed insights into future project planning and client engagement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    University degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    Minimum of 4 years in IT project management, service delivery, or client-facing roles, ideally with experience managing multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Project Leadership:
    Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end project delivery, coordinating diverse teams, and achieving key delivery milestones.
  • Language Skills:
    Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a valuable asset for collaboration across regions.
  • Client and Results Orientation:
    Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and align delivery with client expectations.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking:
    Independent, reliable, and solutions-focused, with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership & Management Skills:
    Competence in managing teams and third parties, while driving performance and accountability in a complex delivery environment.
  • Mobility:
    Willingness to travel for client engagement or project needs when required.
